Animating Charm

Excito Animans

Wand Movements

Point wand at object

Animates an inanimate object momentarily

This charm is used to bewitch inanimated objects to life for a brief moment. It takes an immense amount of concentration to cast it successefully. The caster must invision exactly what he or she wants the object to do, then cast the spell. This charm was taught to students during Charms class by Professor Ian Michael Ashby sometime between 2067-2068, in which the students had to decorate an acorn then practice the spell on it. [1]

Excito means 'I rouse,' 'I raise,' or 'I summon' in Latin, and Animans comes from the Latin, animō, which means 'soul' or 'spirit.'
