Sparking Spell

Wand Movement

Upward flick of the wrist

Causes sparks to shoot from the wand

First introduced by Professor Cassandra Rae during Term 11, this spell causes sparks of any chosen color to shoot from the end of the caster's wand.  These sparks are harmless and should not cause pain or fire.

Spell Casting

The incantation for the Sparking Spell is 'Micans', pronounced me-cans, followed by the chosen color.  For example, to create red sparks, the caster would say, "Micans Red."

The wand motion for this spell is a flick of the wrist in an upward motion.  The caster's arm should not move.
