Theodore "Sir Spots" Puppington served as the Gryffindor House Ghost up until Term 7, when the Draught of Ephemera was given to all the Hogwarts ghosts to help them return to a physical body. It was unsuccessful, and Sir Spots passed on to the other side instead.
Sir Spots appeared in a Gryffindor Quidditch uniform, the same one he was wearing when he died. The uniform shows some evidence of charring. He had the eternal appearance of a young and handsome seventh year student.
Puppington continued to carry the final Snitch from his last game.
Sir Spots earned his nickname as the Seeker on the Gryffindor House team for his uncany ability to spot the Snitch from a mile away on the pitch. His team won the Quidditch House Cup in the final match of the season in 2015 due, in part, to Puppington's excellent playing. Tragedy struck, however, when the boy was struck by a bolt of lightening while brandishing the House Cup over his head in victory.
His knighthood was officially bestowed by the Ministry of Magic early in Term 7 due to the efforts of Headmaster Kobus Hendrik.
